RECREATIONAL PROGRAM
RECREATIONAL DIVISION
Space Coast United’s Recreational Division includes multiple levels of age-appropriate training and league play. Players join in-house or league teams through Rec In-House and Rec BYSL and can add more focused training through the Pathways program. The youngest players start along with their parents in First Touch.
Your child’s birth year determines the program in which to register.

NEW AGE BRACKET MANDATE
AGE BRACKETS: U8 TO U19
Starting with the 2026–27 season, youth soccer age groups will be formed using a seasonal-year cycle: August 1 through July 31 (instead of the current January 1 through December 31 birth-year cycle).
This national alignment decision, led by U.S. Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, and AYSO, aims to better match players with school-grade peers and reduce common issues created by the January 1 cutoff (such as "trapped players" and "force-ups").

SPECIAL REQUESTS
COACH REQUESTS:
Due to the 2026/2027 age group mandate, we are unable to accommodate coach requests this year. Thank you for your understanding as we work through the new age group requirements.
FRIEND REQUESTS:
Due to the 2026/2027 age group mandate, we try to accommodate requests for players to be placed on the same team as another player; however, accommodations are limited and cannot be guaranteed. Friend requests will only be considered if they are reciprocal between both players. All teams must be balanced appropriately based on roster sizes and overall team structure.
