Space Coast United Soccer Club has scheduled late registration for our Fall 2009 Youth Development Program (YDP; for children U10 and younger) and our Recreational Soccer Programs (U12 and older). Registration for these programs will take place through our online portal through July 5. Please note that late fees will apply to all late registrations.

SCUSC Summer Camps Scheduled
Space Coast United Soccer Club will hold summer camps featuring instruction by our club training staff on the following dates:
Soccer Day Camp: July 20-24, 9 AM - 1 PM at Viera Regional Park, for children of all abilities aged U5 to U16.
Goalkeeper and Striker Camp: August 3-7, 9 AM - 1 PM at Viera Regional Park, for children of all abilities aged U9 to U16.

Space Coast United Bolsters Coaching Staff
Scott Armstrong, James Phillips, Mike and Rose Lord, and Robin Chan all join SCUSC professional training staff
Space Coast United Soccer Club is very pleased to announce that coaches Scott Armstrong, James Phillips, and Mike and Rose Lord, all formerly of Three Lions Soccer Club, have joined the Space Coast United professional training staff effective immediately. Also joining the club training staff is FIT Men's coach Robin Chan, who will begin training at the club in 2010.
Additionally, three new teams will be joining Space Coast United in the U-15 boys, U-16 girls, and U-18 girls age groups. All of our recently selected competitive teams will remain intact; no roster changes will result from these teams joining the club.
Our Director of Coaching, John Duguid is working to integrate this accomplished group of coaches with our preeminent staff of state licensed trainers in Brevard to expand the training opportunities for our club members.
Please join us in welcoming Scott, James, Mike, Rose, and Robin to Space Coast United!

'91M Storm Elite Post Strong Finish
Defeat State Cup finalists twice to take two tournament titles
The '91M Storm Elite closed out the '08-'09 campaign in dominating style, winning the Bazooka College Classic on the weekend of May 10, then following up with the championship of the Disney Memorial Day tournament two weeks later. Three Storm Squads are BYSL Champs
Three Space Coast United teams had another successful weekend at the Brevard Youth Soccer League Championships help May 16 and 17 at Hobart Park in Sebastian. Our U10 Girls, U14 Girls Premier, and U12 Boys Premier teams all took league titles over the weekend. Read more... (updated May 18)
Space Coast United Places Two in State Cup Final Four

Congratulations to the teams and families of our U14 Girls Elite team (Lynne Mills) and our U17 Girls Elite team (Fidgi Haig) who participated in the FYSA State Cup Final Four at Wellington this weekend. Both teams concluded their tournaments with tough 1 goal losses in their state semifinal metches. The U14 Girls scored first before yielding 2 goals to lose 2:1. The U17 Girls were defeated by a 1:0 margin in their semifinal match.
SCU Player, Coach Named to Florida HS All-State Awards
Congratulations to Kristin Grubka (U17 Girls; Fidgi Haig) on her selection as the Florida Dairy Farmers Girls 6A Player of the Year (Florida Today article), and to Jerry McCabe (Melbourne HS Boys Coach, and SCU U13 Boys) on his selection as the 2009 Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year (Florida Today article)!
Congratulations also go out to Katie Stengel (Class 4A) on her selection as a finalist for the Florida Girls 4A Player of the Year award.

SCUSC Storms Palm Bay Spring Challenge
Space Coast United had another successful tournament weekend at the recent Palm Bay Spring Challenge. Seventeen club teams entered the tournament, which is now in its 12th year and boasts the largest Spring tournament field in the state.
