First Touch
Rec First Touch Program
First Touch introduces children to soccer in a fun, playful environment. Parents participate with their children in club coach-led activities. There are separate Fall and Spring seasons. Those 5-year-olds not quite ready for Recreational In-House are also able to register.
First Touch is for children from 3-4 years old and is aimed at giving children their very first start with the ball. The program introduces young players to soccer and educates parents on activities that can be replicated at home. How Does It Work?
The sessions involve both the parent and their child participating within the practice. The head coach oversees the practice, demonstrating the activities. The activities are based on a philosophy that utilizes the child’s imagination to create a positive, exciting, and fun soccer environment. As a result of this soccer philosophy, we create a fun, yet highly active, pressure-free practice.
Benefits include balance and coordination improvement, increased self-confidence and improved social skills.
