SCU Storm Damage Report: Palm Bay Spring Challenge
Space Coast United had another successful tournament weekend at the recent Palm Bay Spring Challenge. Sixteen club teams entered the largest field in the 11 year history of the tournament. Of our 16 teams, seven teams earned their way to the finals, with four teams winning championships!
Our U12 Girls team (above) coached by Jenn Montgomery and Matt Barber progressed through pool play undefeated. In the Sunday afternoon final they defeated the Ponte Vedra Wildcats by a 3-1 score.
Living up to their name, the U10 Girls Team coached by Jeff Etrick and Thornton Hinshaw (above) took their tournament bracket by storm. They went undefeated in pool play to reach the championship. In the final, the Storm were pitted against Port St. John United and claimed victory with a 2-0 score. Kudos to a great team and their hard-earned win.
Club teams also winning tournament titles were Jeff Fisher's U14 girls, and Geovanni Palacio's U15 boys teams. Congratulations to all of the SCU teams on a successful tournament!
