Spring 2012 Recreational Programs Open

Registration is now open for the Spring 2012 recreational programs!

Please take a few minutes to read over the following message as it contains new information for new and returning players.

Your registration login information is also included.

 

UNIFORMS:

Due to the economic climate every effort is being made to reduce registration costs. For returning Fall 2011 players, you have the option to reuse your uniform.

We ask that all returning families check to ensure the Fall kit still fits and can be used for the Spring 2012 season.

If your child(ren) DID NOT play in the FALL 2011 season, you will need to purchase a uniform kit.

GOTSOCCER REGISTRATION LOGIN INFORMATION:

Your child’s username and password are listed at the bottom of this email. If you have more than one child and do not already have a family account you will need to use each username and password you receive for each child to add them to the account in order to receive the sibling discount. More information about the sibling discount can be found on the registration information page. PLEASE DO NOT RECREATE A NEW ACCOUNT.  If you do not have your family login information please email me or Jeff Etrick at webmaster@spacecoastsoccer.org

Space Coast Soccer Summer Camps/4v4 Street Soccer

SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS

Fun In The Sun’ Program (4-5 years) is for the youngest players just beginning the game. Our focus is fun, exciting games to build confidence and teach the fundamentals of soccer. Within this curriculum players will cover ball familiarization, small group dynamics, coordination skills and social interaction, all with maximum participation in a fun oriented environment.

The Skills ‘n’ Thrills Program (6-10 Years) enhances player’s technical development & skill building in a stimulating environment. Players are challenged to consider basic tactical components at an age appropriate level, including attacking and defending principles.

Compete With Your Feet (11-18 Years) will place your child in challenging game related situations to enhance technical and tactical knowledge.   To ensure a more rounded learning experience, players will cover sports and health lectures that address topics such as nutrition, flexibility, strength and fitness for soccer. Players will receive an individual evaluation highlighting specific strengths and areas for improvement.

4V4 SUMMER STREET SOCCER

  • Five weeks – Thursday nights 6-8pm
  • Viera Regional Park (YDP area behind concession Stand)
  • June 23rd, 30th, July 7th, 14th & 28th
  • $45 including t-shirt
  • U6-U18
  • Five 12 minute games
  • The players select a chip from a bag which indicates which field they play on and which team (RED OR WHITE)
  • If games are lopsided field volunteers  change players on the fly
  • A fun way to keep players playing over the summer
  • replicates the way the game was originally learned
  • No coaching just playing
  • Age groups will be split up accordingly
  • A group warm up will be completed with a skill of the week that we encourage the players to attempt within their games.
